Not sure what they are called but the black grills on my 02 gts have a rubber gasget like, thing around them. Well when washing my care I noticed that they got pushed down. So some parts are down and some parts are lined up correct. Looks like the glue came loose. What should I do? Shoud I bring back to dealer and have them fix it? I hate bringing it to the dealer. It is such a waste of time. Can I fix it myself? Is the black grill removable?
Thanks

Why are you noticing these "faults" in your Viper now? Is it a new-to-you car? These many mis-aligned parts sends up a light if you just bought it. Another thing is why don't you trust your dealer? Did you buy the car from them?

They are removable...3 screws (or so) on each one as I recall...use MAGNETIC tool to avoid dropping them into the hood itself as it is difficult to get the screw out once it's in the hood !!!

viperzilla,
the car was just purchased in feb 02, the misaligned tail light lens just, became misaligned after a recent track day.
As I said in this post the rubber thing got pushed down while washing the car after the track day. I did not buy the car locally and I would have to take the car to a dealer that I did not purchase the car from, Besides, I have never had good experiences at dealerships. They ALWAYS screw something up, like putting tiny scratches in the paint. And it take a whole day for them to fix the problem. So you have to drop the car off and come back in the evening. So that means you need a ride there and a ride back! Major pain in the asss!

Anyone else have this problem with the grill?

I had the same problem on my rt/10.There are 4 screws on each grill, like Steve said use a magnetic tool or you will drop the screws into the hood. When the hood is up it's pretty hard to get to the 2 front screws.Just take your time and you should be fine.

Good luck.
