locate speedo recalibration box?

I just replaced my 3.73 pumpkin with a stock factory 3.07 unit, and now my speedo reads 20mph if I am going 50mph. Obviously there is a calibration box that was installed when the gears were, so I searched for threads & found a couple that had bits of info about the location of the box. I looked under the hood near the PCM with no luck, & I havent had the chance to look underneath near the tranny.
Can anyone tell me what it looks like & where its location would be?
I believe if I remove it & splice the factory wires back together it should work fine.
I have a service manual, so if I know which wires you would splice into, I could trace them to find it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

its a little squar black box, and it should be near the pcm, as it taps into the wires in the wireing harness thats going into the pcm. Look around, it might be hidden, trace radom wires, that are NOT in the loom.

I have looked everywhere, no cal. box.Under the dash, kick panels, around PCM & behind plate covering PCM, near tranny, nothing!
Does anyone have directions for this box which tells which wires to splice?
Then all I would have to do is trace those wires to find it.
Please help, Matt

Don't know if you found it yet, but mine was installed under the PCM black sheet metal cover, right next to the battery jump location for a '99GTS.

Mine is hooked up 2" from speedo, right under the dash. (Before the first connection from the speedo)
