A group of us from Michigan took a tour of CAAP and Prefix (the place where Vipers are striped) a few weeks ago. While standing in the area where these White/Blue cars were being striped, one of our group asked the Prefix owner this very question and how much it would cost to get that 1/4" area on the roof and the license plate area painted. The answer was "$1,000.00".

I guess the important question BDZ1984 should consider is: Would it be worth $1,000.00 to you to have those little areas painted or would you rather put that "1K" into something else? (Like maybe a Corsa CatBack system?)

First thing I did with my Gen II GTS (black/silver) was get the license plate area and cowl vented and striped. Paid $1000 and it looks awesome and complete.
I feel complete is necessary in a high-end specialty car. So striping it completely gets my vote.

I think if your buying a $85k+ car you should not have a half ass stripe job... Which is why I stuck with my 96 GTS and didnt buy a 06 FE coupe...

Couldnt agree more. I think its crappy that prefix doesnt do that 3/8 inch section from the coupe's hard top, to its windshield frame. I could care less about the license plate area, but yeah that too looks like cutting corners, but if thats how vipers have been stripped since 97, I can live with it.
