I'm in the process of doing some upgrades on my '95. If anyone has some of these parts that they would like to sell, please let me know. I've checked around, but used Gen1 performance parts don't seem to be as readily available as Gen2 parts.

- 1 3/4" headers
- 3" high flow cats and mufflers
- 2" or 3" Aluminum radiator
- Shocks/Springs
- Fan module upgrade

I'm also looking for a ROE SC for a Gen1. There have been several Gen2's for sale, but the conversion cost isn't worth the hassle of buying used.

Thanks,
Chris

Call Alan at Alan's Performance about the triple pass radiator for a GENI... I just got one from him and it makes a big difference. He can also get you the fan module upgrade.

Good luck on finding a used GENI supercharger... I looked for over a year and ended up just ordering one brand new.

for the price of the roe and the minumal preformance. why not just go heads, headers, cam and Nitrous? You will be around 450 n/a and over 600 with a 150 shot. With the Roe you will not break 600. The triple bypass will not make as much differance on a 95 as it does a 93, but will help a little. I think SVS has a DYI turbo package as well for a Gen 1 but I never heard the price.

I have a set of Gen I heads that have been completely done up with 2.02 intakes and 1.60" exhaust. PM me if interested.

Wow that is interesting on the Radiator......did you do the upgrade after the SC, because i have been told by many including the Wizard, that if the car does not have a charger it is not worth the money.

TexasPettey - For how cheap the set up is you are best going with a brand new Roe Racing Exhaust/ High-flow cat set-up. www.roeracing.com - or call and ask for Sean, great people.

Thanks for the insights. I'll probably end up buying the ROE exhaust system. I've heard one, and it was nice.

On the NOS shot, I wasn't really considering it because I want the power available constantly. I'm going to use the car for track racing and hadn't heard of anyone using NOS. That said, most of the courses I run on will be traction and braking limited. There are only a few sections of track where I could unload all of 500+ RWHP. How long can you hit the NOS shot and how long does a bottle last?

use a window switch and it will spray at the RPM you set it, (or Vec 2) A 10 # bottle will last a long time with a 100 Shot. With a new cam, good heads, headers (with good 3" exhaust) and 100 shot you will have more Hp than a roe and no tuning issues, If you buy a vec 2 you can also use it like a window switch, and also trim your fuel. If you do heads and headers, you will need a set of the gen2 injectors as they flow more fuel.

I did install it at the same time as the supercharger and some other parts

However, before I did all of the supercharger work I had a few performance mods such as headers, exhaust, 68mm throttle bodies, and a few others... I had a terrible time with overheating problems with just those mods... of course I have an early 93 (which is different) - We actually had to send my stock radiator off to a company for about 6 weeks so that they could use it as a template to build an early GEN I radiator

It has made a HUGE difference... maybe my stock radiator was just not working properly

might be the only time I disagree with Chuck Tator, but I installed Alan's radiator and, if nothing else, it makes me feel better that I'm not driving around town in the red in summer. you have to upgrade the fan, but its worth it.

of course, my stock radiator was leaking and needed to be replaced anyway.

Go with the Roe SC and aluminum radiator.
You will not be sorry.... :2tu:

I'm very happy with the results, power when you need it.
If it's not enough, you can always spray too! :D
