Hi all,

My name is Dale from Michigan. I've been wanting a Viper since first seeing the prototype years ago. Those were my flat broke collage years. But now I have the funds, and the prices are much lower for that Yellow '95 R/T with tan interior that I have wanted for years. I even warned my wife before getting married, that my buying one some day was part of our agreement :smirk:

I have been reading as many posts as possible about what to look for in the '95 models and head gaskets seem to be the biggie. I have just started to seriously look for one. It seems that many of you are familiar with the cars out there and I wonder if anyone knows any thing about the one at Babelli Motors in San Diego. 1B3BR65EXSV200915

Thanks for supporting this forum.

Good luck with your search! I too was in the market for a '95 yellow RT/10 for a number of years. I went back and forth between the GEN I's and GEN II's (Viper Race Yellow RT/10s). I finally decided on the 2001 VRY RT/10 that I have now...for a lot of reasons...ABS, low mileage, nicer interior, windows...you know..I went soft! :D Anyway...just something to think about. You will find a lot of differing opinions, but the convertible is freakin' awesome! Don't let the yellow haters get you down...you will undoubtedly hear from a number of them...

Oh, it MUST be yellow. I'm also in love with the side pipes, thus the '95 search. I will research the Gen II's a bit more. Thanks!

You might want to look at both the 95 and the 2001 in yellow. The 95 yellow pales in comparison to the 2001, much deeper color :2tu:

I agree 100%...I love the look of the sidepipes. I am toying with the idea of doing a sidepipe conversion (changing from rear to side), but I haven't made up my mind yet.

+1... Later years are easily converted to side exhaust. Covering the unused rear hole is the only tricky part.

Lou Belanger has a kit that works well. Got mine from Parts Rack.

You can save all your old parts for the rewind button if you ever want to go back or are just looking to have unmolested original parts.

Dale, its refreshing to hear you've already identified that yellow is THE fastest color. You're well on your way to Viper happiness! BJ Motors has an immaculate '95 Yellow RT/10 you may be interested in: BJ Motors - Used Dodge Vipers and Dodge Viper Trucks . At the very least Bernie is a great resource you can utilize while looking for your Viper. Good luck.

Thanks for the link to BJ's. They seem to move a lot of Vipers! And closer to me than Cali. So which seat color is faster? :)

All the seats are fast!!! Make sure you get a good 5 pt harness so the beast doesn't try to buck you!

Dale you've come to the right place for sure. Personally I think you made a great choice on the color combination, although I may be biased slightly. I picked up a yellow/tan 95 back in September. I never talked to Babelli about their car but I do remember seeing it for sale when I was looking so it's bee there atleast ten months.

Headgaskets will be a must if they haven't been done already. Just did mine 2 weeks ago. There are several recent threads with great pictures on the whole process. Get in touch with Dan at Viper Specialty because he carries the MLS gen 1 headgaskets. Also have someone who is well informed on Vipers go check it out. Get it on a lift and check every inch of the car because it is that critical.

Other than that good luck with the search! Post pictures when you get ahold of one :2tu:
