I just sold my RT-10 :) :( , and I'm looking for a 1997 GTS Blue with White Stripes. I am looking for the lowest mile/best condition car I can find :D . I've seen a dozen or so and passed them up due to too much nose scrape, worn seats, scratches in the paint, etc....

Anyone that is selling, or is aware of one for sale.... Let me know.... I'm ready to load a new one in the trailer and come home!

Thanks for everyones help!!!

350 miles is the kind of car I'm looking for!!! I would prefer 97, but with only 350 miles I wouldn't say no to that 96! Keep me informed with what you find out! Thanks for your help.

What price range are you in?

I'm sure he'll gladly pay low $40's, wow, what a great deal! With low milage and what you're looking for, expect to pay high $40's or possibly into the low $50's.

I see the prices all over the board. I've seen $45K up to $57k. I missed a 947 mile 97 Blue w White Stripes car in Florida that sold for $52K, but my RT wasn't sold yet and I didn't want to own two. I had WAY too much $$$$ in my RT, it was over 540HP and 575 FT Lbs of trq. I needed to ease some of the pain before getting a second one. I will pay what is takes to own the right car.

You must know RocketShip. I can post a pick of Rocket and Myself driving out to to see a Blue and White. Rocket was driving 120 in his new Bentley Anarge Turbo. Rocket is like me. If the car is perfect, he will take it. The problem is some guys perfect is not really perfect.

Anybody really into Vipers will know a Perfect Blue and White will bring High 50's all day long. You get what you pay for.

Rocket just called me. He found one car with 12 miles on it. 100 grand would not buy that car!(not for sale) He is working on a 300 mile car. They are out there... Just have to find one.

300 miles? Perfect. If you pay under 50k consider yourself lucky.

High 30's will require some miles & scratches.

When looking for my B/W 97 GTS I found 2 cars with less than 200 miles. (Never licensed) I found 29 sites with 97 viper's (84 cars) Bought my car in March. Expect to find 8-12 perfect low mile (<4000 mile) cars. Hope this helps.

get in the Blue/White club, you'll like it!!!

I have a hard time just looking at it though, I have other appreciating assets to console myself over odometer readings. :)

So there are cars out there for high 30s? Are we talking gen2.. preferably RT? I don't mind miles, I will put plenty on myself. I don't mind scratches - the car is going to be butchered to right hand drive so a paint job doesn't bother me either.

Keep in mind I have to pay upwards of 60% tax on this thing, so every extra dollar hurts! For USD 38k sale price I could probably get the car on the road for maybe USD 75k here...

Hey everyone. Thanks for all those who helped me in searching for a 96/97 Blue/White GTS.

I found the exact car I was looking for!!

I purchased a NEW 1997 Blue w/ White stripes GTS  . I bought it from the dealer who ordered it from the factory :) . The car is still on MSO, I will be the orig. owner, the car has a full factory 36 month warranty starting the day I picked it up, and the car has only 200 miles on it, put on by the dealership owner :D :D .

IT was my fellow VCA members who led me to find this car!!! Thanks to all of you who helped me out!! :usa:

Congratulations, similar story myself with my 1996 GTS.

Be sure to verify the warranty statement, i.e. original factory warranty.... My understanding is that as soon as the dealer pays off the note, the in service date begins. Seems amazing he was paying it down for 6 years....

Either way, buy an extended now from Chuck Tator.

Enjoy!

Thanks Rob.

I did ask them that exact question.

I was told that the waranty starts when the dealer fills out some card and sends it in. He (the dealership owner) assured me I get 36 months from date of pick up. I take him (the dealership owner) at his word....So far!

Who is Tator?

Chuck Tator is one of the most helpful Dodge dealers around these parts, along with Bill Pemberton of course. I know Chuck (and perhaps Bill) discount the extended warranties considerably. Chuck can be reached at 914-763-3136 or [email protected]. Don't have Bill's number with me, but he's at Woodhouse Dodge in Blair, Nebraska.

p.s. with a VIN number Chuck can verify the "in service" date for you.

WOW!!!! I got my Brand New Leftover 1997 Blue and White GTS home just the other day. When I got to the dealership things were as I had hoped, the car is flawless and still a brand new car sitting on the show room floor... not sales hype!

I watched them fill out the MSO into my name, so cool to find a jewel 6 years old sitting in a time capsual. The warranty started the day I picked up the car. My home local dealer ran my VIN to check in service date, it all matched up to the day I picked it up!

The dealership, in a small town in Tennessee, was full of great people. I met everyone in the dealership, they were all great people. I was told by almost everyone there that they have looked at that car for the last 6 years, and they don't know how it will feel coming into work and not seeing the car sitting there anymore.

I now have a whopping 207 miles on the clock! This car is just way too cool. I own, and have owned some of the nicest car out there and this car takes all of them hands down!!!

The Blue and White club kinda feels like the Mile High Club.....only for a much prolonged period of time!!! :D

Rocket,
Congrats and welcome to the Blue & White club! Did they do the 998 recall while it was there at the dealership or are they leaving that up to you?
