Dealer wants $39.27 which to me seems ridiculous. Are these a shared part on another Chrysler vehicle ? Any take off PS reservoirs out there cheaper ?

Cost me $27 2 yrs. ago. What a rip! An Arctic Cat snomobile gas cap fit perfectly till the new one came in. My dealer was unaware of any like Chrysler caps. I check that cap every time the hood is open now. In fact, I check all the caps. It appears losing that cap is somewhat of a common problem for Vipers. Very condusive to fire on a hot engine.

$9.95 at Pep Boys.

I think it's labeled "Jeep" or "Jeep Cherokee" but it looks identical in all ways to the Viper cap. I keep mine safety wired to the hard part of the high pressure line... and yes I keep a spare on the trailer.

It is a Jeep Cherokee part. Either go to a junk yard or a new one from Pep Boys. A lot of people drill the little hole on the cap to make it a bit larger....for what reason, I don't know. You may also want to tighten the cap with aset of pliers.
