The bad news: Smoked to 60 by a 4th gen TA (bench race)

The good news: I built the car that beat me in theory

in a strange twist of fate, I met the new owner of my old 95 TA. When I was getting my oil changed, I see this reflection of a red TA in the window, and hear the car. Boy that sounds familiar... I turn around, see the stripes. Nahh... can't be....
It is!!! I go over and talk to the owner, who is getting some stuff at the convenience store. Boy, was he suprised when I started "guessing" what was in the car w/o him even opening the hood

Then I let him in on the secret. He almost fell over, and then the questions. OH THE QUESTIONS!!! The guy I sold the car to originaly obviously couldn't handle the power or remember the specs (I removed the blower for him before he bought it). This guy knew his cars somewhat, he had put a new blower on (which is good, motor is designed for it). He had some things routed wrong, and he never even knew he had a fuel controler under the dash

Car still has it, i'll give ya that! She made ~650RWHP when I built in, and I suspect it's still around those numbers. 0-60 was in the 3.xx range (if you could hook up). She's still got it, went for a quick drive.
The guy was in down from NC, he was on his way back.

overall, very cool... little weird seeing the car again, like seeing a ghost.

Then it started to friggin monsoon outside, but that is a rant for the Snakepit

Like the Bible says ... "Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it". Your former car will always retain it's bad asp nature. Good job.

That's hilarious. I dread the day I ever run into my 94 Camaro. He leave me sitting still. Blown, juiced and forged. She was a screamer. Luckily, I sold it out of town. I hope he doesn't come looking for me but I would love to see the car again.

Heh. I wonder how many of us have such skeletons in the closet? I sold my previous screamer -- a 619 RWHP Supra -- to a local who fortunately doesn't drive it well enough to be a threat to me at the local dragstrips in the Daytona. Against the RT, of course, it wouldn't matter if John Force was driving it
