Hey guys, I am thinking of lowering my 05SRT. I dug down lots of posts in the search history and found some interesting comments that Eibachs may not be the best idea as it changes the ride quality and you may even endanger yourself by getting "airborne" on a high speeds. I know that Motons are much better set up, but I just don't have money to do that set up. My car is a mostly weekend driver with very occasional trips to the track - maybe 2-3 times a year.
So would a set of Eibachs do the trick for me, lower the ride and not sucrifice performance?

Oh and I will most likely install them myself, it seems straight forward job, however, I read in the prevous post that to get the car lower the final tightening should be on the ground or in the air? That is something I missed in the posts and couldn'g get it.
Thanks.

Eibach had an issue pre-late-2004. The issue was in 2003-2004 with an OLD Eibach part.

NO ISSUES NOW if you buy NEW stock from a VCA vendor. we have a bunch installed, and happy owners. Lots of SEARCHABLE photos. ps $325 VCA, Thanks can ship today

pps KW V2s are under $3100 complete.....and less labor! But still 10x as expensive as Eibachs

you should tighten the bushing bolts with the car on the ground (with the suspension compressed) Theoreticly this may allow the car to sit lower or higher if you tighten them with the suspension hanging. Anyway it is better for the bushings. Most quality shops will put the car together then put the car on a drive on rack, looses up the bolts to relax the bushings then retighten them.

So I install the new shocks and slightly tie up the bushing bolts then put wheels back on the car and then lower the car and tighten bushing bolts. Is that the right sequence?

Are you saying these are easier to install than Eibachs or Motons? .

Yes. These = KW V-2, fully assembled adjustable coilovers, under $3100/set 4.

Replacing 4 Eibachs onto 4 OE coilovers is way more labor than replacing 4 fully-assembled KW V2 shock/spring coilover units.
