Before the Ohio race, Larry Macedo installed a super trick 50 shot of nitrous on my supercharged creampuff. This kit had never been road tested, but worked like everything else that Larry does, flawlessly. To my own regret I did not use the system on Friday during the street tire shoot-out, I was getting terrible wheel hop on my worn Michelins and figured adding more power would make that worse. I used the nitrous the whole way back to the hotel that night, Chad rode with me and would yell BRAKE when those little red tail lights would turn into big lights. Just a 50 hp shot made a big difference in the car, the front end stays up all through 4th and 5th, the supercharger is definitely working better. I had further tire problems on Saturday so I did not get to see its full potential, but trap speeds were up 8-10 mph. Hopefully we will have the Shreveport track to ourselves and I will get to maximize this great combination that Larry has set up for me.

John, How many pounds of boost are you running and what numbers are you putting to the rear wheels? Larry is hooking the juice to my 96 GTS with the 10 lb Roe system. :usa:

Shelby3, your car should rock! I am running the 5lb pulley on a stock creampuff 2001 motor cast pistons, with just the pulley I am running 563 hp and 604 TQ at the wheels, with the 50 shot of nitrous I dynoed at 653 hp and 745 TQ. If I had not had the tire problems, I think I would have been in the mid 10s most of the day.

Is this the base dry shot NOS 5180 kit Larry is using?

I am thinking about putting a small dry shot on mine.

Florida,
Being that you gained over 100rwhp my guess is that the 50 shot nitrous is not 50 hp. What horsepower system are you running?

John has our new wet shot system installed on his Viper. The system incorporates Purge, Fuel and Nitrous solenoids mounted on one nifty aluminum distribution block.
John, I tried to stop, but I just couldn't control myself on the dyno. Horsepower is contagious you know? The A/F was fat, so I just kept increasing the nitrous jetting until we hit 650/750. The A/F is a perfect 16:1 across the board. We could easily produce more with this system, but I didn't want to compromise those beautiful Mahle pistons.

Well, whatever you did worked, when the nitrous comes on the car feels controlled but definitely shoves you back in the seat. What I love is I still have the dependability of a stock Viper, in South Carolina one person in our group had a trailer problem. I took my car off the trailer, let him put the other car on the trailer and then drove The Viper from South Carolina back to Florida, while getting 20-21 mpg. Thanks Larry for building such a great setup.

John, is it true Chad soiled himself during your ride back to the hotel?

Looks like more parts to add when I send my car to Larry.

Mr. Hirsch and Mr. Simms, I'll try to take a few shots of the system installed so you both can get a glimpse of what is yet to come. I just picked up a new digital camera for the shop and am still trying to learn how to operate the thing.

Well he did run to his room as soon as we got there, I don't if it was full nitrous in 3rd, 4th, and 5th, or when cudaman came skidding down the off ramp at us in his rig? Something about the 16 hour flight and no sleep. Who knows??

Roe S/C + Nitrous, this combination really works, my car dynoed over 900 RWHP and around 1090 RWTQ with just a NOS universal Dry kit! I cant wait to install the intercooler add more boost plus the same NOS setup!

What kind of program did you have to run when you added NOS? I have a chipdrive and would really appreciate if anyone can send me a NOS program for an 8lb pulley.
