Made a 12-yr-old kid\'s day
I was pumping gas today, and a woman came over to me with her sons and introduced her kid and said how it was his B-day. She said it would make his day if he could take a picture of my car for his collection. I said, "I'll do you one better.' I invited the boy to sit in the driver's seat, and (while gripping the shifter in neuatral and E-brake myself for safety) I showed the kid how to start the car and I let him rev the throttle while the Mom was snapping away. I cannot tell you how happy this child was, it reminded me of the way I was as a kid with cars - it felt good to give him something to remember.
