i just got the shanks back from the platers and installed our first strike composite race knob in the SRT10. as you can see it is basically the same popular knob as the gen 1 and 2 just with a longer shank and the new fangs inserts.

a funny thing...on the gripper i really preferred the red logo fangs in my red car but i put a grey insert race knob in this time and it really looked awesome in the cockpit. especially since it blends with the steering wheel insert so well. not sure what i will end up with but just food for thought. red does look great too

George,
I hope mine is in the mail, but now you've got me wondering about that gray one! They look great so both colors would be a good choice.

George - my knob arrived and I installed it last night. I have a question though. Is the boot to be placed between the nut and the bottom of the shifter? If that is the case then I'm guessing it isn't necessary to tighten the nut up against the bottom of the shifter knob as was the case with the stock shifter knob.

actually with our knobs you should take the nut off so you can get the knob as low as pssible and also get as much thread in the knob as you can.

George,

Do you have a picture with the red insert in the car for comparison and could you get a better picture of the grey one. I want one but I would like to get a better view of each. Thanks.

George, Send me a grey one. You have my credit card number. The license plate looks great. Bob
