Not to offend the self-rightous or the posers, but yesterday coming home from work, had a guy (mid-30s) in a brand new Mustang GT, get lined up with me at a red light on a 55MPH road. Guy revved his 'stang and on the green made an impressive display of peeling rubber, I took off a littler easier in respect to wheel hop and getting sideways. After a second or two I heard him once again peel rubber as he went from 1st to 2nd, unfornunately I was unable to see him in my rear view mirror! VIPERS RULE!

I've had at least four new GTs line up against my Cobra to get smoked so far. Most of the people buying these are not true "car enthusiasts" and think they have the latest cool new fast car. I've had a couple of the ones above catch up at the next light and say "I can't believe your old Mustang beat my new one". They don't even know what a Mustang Cobra is. Totally clueless....the herd still needs some more thinning.

My Cobra is my daily driver so not much yet; K&N Aircharger, Magnaflow catted X-Pipe, 2.5" exhaust, Flowmaster Series 40s, Maximum Motorsports full-length subframe connectors, IRS brace, considering KB or Whipple blower upgrade w/appropriate driveline, cooling, braking & wheel/tire upgrades...here I go again...another Snake bite. My Viper is my heavily modded Snake.....so far. :D

You big bully!!

You Wish, I think I recall you posting a story how a guy in an older muscle car kept asking and asking to race you at a light. So you finally gave in and did. Then beat him and he was all upset or pretended not to care or something? Do I have you right? If so... score another for the Vipers :2tu:

It can be amazing how many people don't know what these cars are or what they can do. I've been challenged by almost everything now from Feraris to old muscle cars to BMW 3 series. It has slowed down a bit lately ..... maybe they're learning ..... naw ..... they never will!

Yep, thats about the size of it.....Funny, thats most of the drivers on the road, so clueless.

I had this older guy come up to me in a parking lot and say "nice car" , I say "Thanks a lot", he says, "What is that, a Mazda?" I said "Wow, a Mazda, uh, huh, its a Mazda" As long as the Viper has been around now, there are still people who don't even know what it is. Beleive it or not.
