I am glad to be a part of this great club and another thing the MAMBA really ROARS. I have put about 400 miles on it so far and didn't really get a chance to open it up until about one week ago when the weather was nice out in jersey.
This is a classic story and i know that the club will appreciate this one. I am out an about just riding around in my MAMBA on a local highway in jersey and sure enough i am not on the highway for even 2 mins up pulls a PORSCHE GT2 TWIN TURBO and ofcourse like all other porsche owners this one looked over and said "wanna race", Being a VIPER owner there is no fear here so without hesitation i said go for it. The light turned green and the roar that this car let out was absoultely amazing. By the time i hit third the porsche was a spec in my rear view.
I than proceeded to fuel up and as soon as i pull out there came a black lamborghini murcielago and we had two runs the first one was a misshift on his end so we did it again and the MAMBA just ripped the LAMBO in half. I was so impressed that i am actually thinking about getting the 2006 COUPE.

Are you sure that Lambo was racing because it would have torn you a new one! :D

Are you sure it wasn't a Gallardo??

Congrats on the car no doubt. :2tu:

Lol...I was thinking the same things...as for that GT2...he must not know how to drive...or...he probably stopped racing you...I know for a fact those cars can definitely hang with a stock viper...no question
Btw, congrats on the new ride, and welcome to the elite Viper family!

PS2 car must be equipped with the factory supersnakenator option. ;)
UtpalKumar, hope you're enjoying the Mamba ride with a cordless controller.

Perhaps UtpalKumar has a Mamba equiped with the rarest of all supersnakenator engine package.
A cordless controller is really a must for optimal control of these badazzed machines. ;)

I had an experience with an '05 Murcielago and I must say he was unable to pull away from my stock SRT10, so I think the driver's ability/skills play a huge part when you're in a 500+hp car. After we were done, the owner said to me "finally something worth racing, what do you have in that car?" Afterwards we pulled over and I explained to him it was bone stock and told him about the available mods he said he was going to have to get one.

That's weird. From a dead stop, the Murcielago has 4 wheel drive, so traction is instantly there when the clutch drops. As for a roll, I have witnessed a few HIGH hp supras, somewhere in the range of 600 to 700 rwhp race Murcielagos on the freeway, and the wins were by a small margin. I fail to see how a bone stock viper could stand a chance... Especially with 580 hp and close to 500 lbs of torque, there is absolutely no way. Keep in mind, the murcielago only weighs about 3600 lbs, which is not much heavier than a viper..

Thanks all for the reply but i do have to say one comment made in here is it depends on the driver after all. Remember you car can be faster than the next but if you can't drive or don't have the heart all that power means nothing. I hope you guys agree with me on that.
I do know that the GT2 is definetly suppose to keep up and also the lambo is suppose to wiz by my stock MAMBA but nevertheless i out drove both drivers so that's what has happened.
I do plan on modifying the car but i want to get a good feel of the car before i start doing any work on the car.
I will have to go to several meets to figure out what i am going to be doing to the vehicle.
Once again thanks for all the inputs.
BTW 90k against 150k & 200k + i like my odds. Hahahah.

The Lambo's weight is more like 3850 plus. I have drove a Murcielago and the car rocks but, is heavy and feels it.
