Need a favor

Dear Gents,

I bought a Woodward Edition Plymouth Prowler out of Florida and currently my job has me working in California, but I still have my driver's license in New Jersey, so I have to register/title/plate/inspect the car in New Jersey. Anyway, I was wondering if there's someone who has a driveway spot (the car won't arrive with plates, so in some jurisdictions that means it can be impounded) and would be able to receive the vehicle (ensuring that it wasn't damaged) and sign for it.

I'd fly into Newark a few days later, pick it up, drive over to NJMVC and get all the register/title/plate/ inspection done and then drop it back for a 2nd transporter to come pick it up and transport it to California for me.

I've shipped vehicles to a "yard" before and I've seen the videos made of those vehicles being driven by whomever had access to the keys. I have a few ex-girlfriends in NJ, but I kinda ruled them out since now that we aren't together they don't have a double-car or more garage, nor at the very least a double-wide driveway. I have a few work buddies, but almost every one of them has kids and I remember hearing stories of the stuff their kids broke just being kids.

Might be able to help you with this. Let me see if one of my family members would give up their garage space for a couple of days for you, or there is a garage in my building where I store my cars (lots of other high end sports cars in there) and it's only 15 minutes from Newark airport. Only catch with my garage is that they would likely charge you on a per day basis to keep it there somewhere in the range of $20 or so...? I'd be happy to help you with that though if you were ok with that. PM me with more details on dates and maybe we can figure something out. One other thing is that I work in Manhattan 8-6 Monday through Friday, so we would have to figure around that schedule...

Thanks Guys!! I really appreciate the help. The issue is I've got to have someone sign for the car, so I'm still chatting with a friend down in South Jersey (wait times at NJ MVC are less than 5 minutes), so I'll factor all this in and keep in touch.

I'd never have an issue with a fee per day, that's the easiest part!

I'd be happy to sign for it if I knew roughly what time it was arriving on what day, and then I could have it tucked away nicely in my building's guarded private garage for you. My wife also stays home from work on Mondays and Fridays to take care of our 1 year old son, so that's always a possibility as well. There is also a DMV office in the next town over from me I believe, so that's another easy situation. Just let me know what you are planning to do and I'm happy to do what I can to help you out.

I've got an empty garage space at my house if needed. I'm in denville, about 30min from newark airport, and there's a dmv in randolph about 10min from here.
