Can anyone help me out on this. I bought this pressure switch that is adjustable from 1-4 psi. It has 3 prongs on it and here is the description of the hook ups...can some one elaborate a little more for me where the positive and neg would go?

Description:

What makes this particular switch very nice? It has 2 ports for easy install into your vehicle. Simply cut an intake vacuum line, and attach both sides to the ports. It does not block pressure or vacuum so it can be hooked up inline to your fuel pressure regulator, etc.

There are 3 electrical connections to the device. One is common. One is N/O (normally open). The other is N/C (normally closed). Use .187" female quick connects to attach wires to the switch.

Need to activate your water injection, staged timing retard, boost alarm, boost indicator, etc? Connect to common and N/O. Above the set pressure, it will stay activated.

Generally speaking the common would be ground if you're wanting to supply the ground to a device.

The options are:
If you want to have a device that is powered on until the preset pressure is reached, use the common and normally closed contacts.

If you want to have a device that is NOT powered on until the preset pressure is reached use the common and normally open contacts.

Common most often = ground.
