need helpful hints for indentification

I would greatly appreciate it if anybody could help me with some hints on typical indentifiers of juice and/or heavy mods. I can usually determine most issues with plenty of time to scrutinize but when lined up at a traffic light there's not much time for that.

I'ld say that if you can here a loud whining, air sucking sound akin to having k&n's but louder at idle, then the persons probably got a supercharger. Also if you hear a purging sound, that's a dead give away to nitrous. Tom also gives a good description of what nitrous smells like here .
