DO NOT BUY THE CAR WITHOUT A/C. I thought about buing a friends 94 with no a/c, car had 9k miles on it and I could have bought the car at that time for 31,000. The parts alone to upgrade for a/c was 4000.00 and that did not include labor. You can only get the parts through Dodge piece by piece. The after market kits you may have heard of for 1500.00 have been long gone, purchased by dodge dealers in Florida many years ago and re-sold for a h*ll of a profit. As far as hardtops go I just purchased mine from Viper Mania. Thanks to--Bruce and Biff for helping me make the right choice. Buy the 95.

I believe that you may be able to add AC (might be costly!!)

You should look at the Autoform top. Fit and finish, not to mention appearance, is tops and is MUCH better than the mopar IMHO. If you like the 95, go for it and look into purchasing a top later!!

where do you live?

a friend of mine in my area has a 94 rt10 with no a/c and its not much of a big issue.. since it rains here once every NEVER, the hard top hasnt been on in over a year.. sure on some of the hotter days during the summer it would be nice, but i dont think its necessary.. heck, the car doesnt even have windows!!

also, i'm sure with enough searching you could find the parts to convert to a/c on a wrecked car someone is parting out.. or a car that has been stripped down to a race car.. this should be much cheaper than buying new parts..

from what i understand the a/c components just bolt right up to the car with no fabrication required...

show me a 94 with no a/c for 30k and i'll buy it with chucks money..

I rarely used the AC in my 94, but it sure was nice to have it when I needed it. Tops are WAY cheaper than trying to add AC.

Go with 95 with AC.

Depending on where you live, you might not need the AC, but if you do, you have it. A top is easy to add on as compared to an AC.

Good luck.

I have a 1994 RT/10 with air condition. I only drive mine when the weather is good enough to drive with the top off. If you are driving with the top off, there is not much need for the air condition. I rarely use it.

I have a 94 RT/10 and I wish I had the A/C in it. Although I only drive the car when the weather is nice when it comes down to selling the car I think that A/C is a plus. You need to pick the car that is the best overall car as far as mileage, condition, and extended warranty. I agree that it is easier to get a hardtop than to put in A/C , but you can get the complete A/C unit from a wrecked or car that has been turned into a racer. Purchasing a solid well-cared for car should be the first priority. Depending on where you live, A/C & hardtop should be secondary. BTW-My 94 RT/10 is for sale!

I don't have A/C

but I have the Hard top and Vipermania plexi-glass windows and some other goodies.

It also has an extended warranty till 2006. Good luck with your purchase.

Buy the car with the AC. It only takes one time when you get caught in the rain, you have to close the car up and drive. I was quoted $ 5,000 to add AC 2 months ago. I was able to get some used parts / bought the rest from Dodge and installed - Cost me $ 2300. Very happy I did it. I do like to drive the car with the top off. But I feel very uncomfortable parking it and walking away without the top on. So when I take the car on Vacation, etc. I bring a top. Taking the top on and off is a drag. Hardtop and windows with the AC on, listening to the side exhaust- Man it don't get no better than that

Eddie, only "Friends" get a ride to the track.

C'mon Eddie I can't hold your RT/10 forever, but I'll keep good care of her until you take the plunge.
