i really like the first strike race knob we make but the only drawback is when racing on a road course you really want to be able to get your hand on and off the shift knob quickly and our design makes that hard to do. it is more desinged for drag racing. so i decided to look into what the pros have been using and found that most just use a simple "BROOMSTICK" or "JOYSTICK"
looking thingy on the shifters. well they ain't pretty but they must work. soooo.....

i decided i could at least give them a little MGW flair and still keep the basic design. i chose the composite to also help the heat issue. i think they look pretty cool and the best part is they are a bit cheaper at 60.00 instead of 75.00!!!

George, the new knob arrived yesterday. Got it on the car last night, then took it out for some heel-toe downshifting practice at my favorite I-80 cloverleaf. The knob feels very good. Good leverage for those 5th to 4th and 3rd to 2nd shifts. Definitely taller than the gripper knob I took off, but still at least 2" shorter than the stock knob. I just got back from the Panoz three day school at Road Atlanta and the new knob feels similar to the set up they have on the Panoz GT-RA cars we used only a lot better looking. Good job George!
