Just got my new hardtop today. This is the first of a new design by Autoform. I have been looking and shopping around and finally settled on this one. Factors include price (of course), looks, acceptance by tracks (Viper Days approved) and ease of removal/reinstallation. I did like the looks of the coupe version but a changeover was more like a weekend proposition and not a few minutes.

Here are some pics (I apologize for the low quality. size limits and daylight leaving were the causes).

The rear glass is polycarbonate. Basically the same material used in the Vmania Gen I windows. Very scratch resistant and not to be confused with acrylic (i.e. Plexiglass). The glass looks just like real glass is fine by me.

I do not know the weight. It was installed by the Autoform guys so I never checked the weight. I should know in a few weeks (I will be in Germany all this week). Inside room is great. Plenty of space for a helmet.

Looks good. You mentioned that this is a new design from Autoform. Besides the side scoops being filled in, what is the difference between this new design and previous AF hardtops?

Not only did we fill in the side accents as you noticed, but we added an accent around the edge of the window, to further accentuate the line coming up from the door. We also, make a subtle change to the lines on the roof of the hardtop. The top looks really great on Ron's car.

Also to answer another question, each hardtop weighs 45-50lbs.

Ron, thanks for being willing to be the first one with the newer design. Just FYI everyone, the older style is still available also.

I have a black older style Autoform SRT-10 hardtop that I'm considering selling if anyone is interested. It would probably have to be someone local or who could pickup though. PM me for info.
