I would like to say hi to everyone and introduce myself. My name is Pat Mathias and I just bought my first Viper. It is a 1997 GTS blue with white stripes, 10800 miles. I have been a car guy all my life and think that I have reached the top. The only problem is I have to wait around 2 months befor I can drive it.

Hey Pat, welcome aboard!!

Blue white stripes is the fastest Viper there is, good choice, you may have some local Yellow owners, usually a large fellow who we don't disagree with based on sheer intimadation factor alone!! :)

Hope to see you out this year, lots of good Vipering fun in Ohio and Michigan, if you feeling like you want 60 extra cents on your buck come on over to my side, love to check out your 97. What number is it? Mine is 613 (last 6 of VIN 300613.

take care, counting down the weeks until decent weather as well!

I am an unusually large fellow (6'5" tall 330 pounds) that is very intimidating with the fastest of Viper colors - Viper Race Yellow - who wishes to welcome you to the Viper Nation. If Blue with White stripes was available on a 2002 Viper GTS, I would have gotten it even though it is the 2nd fastest color.

(genXgts has not ridden in any Yellow Vipers, so he's really NOT an expert on the fastest color. I've driven both color Vipers and my Roe Supercharged with a lot of supporting mods Yellow Viper GTS is lots faster than the Blue & White GTS that I drove before ordering my Yellow GTS. My Viper BEFORE the Roe Supercharger was also faster than the Blue & White GTS that appeared to have been a former drug dealer's car. :( )

Unless you live up north in the lake-effect snowbelt of Ohio, you should be able to drive your Viper about once per week on fairly clean roads to keep the battery charged like I do in the southwest central part of Ohio.

I live in the great snow belt of Ohio " Findlay " I have not ran my numbers to tell what my production place. Could some one tell me where and how to do this? The vin #1B3ER69E4VV301279. I fell in love with the blue and white the first day it came out, it just took this long to buy one.

Welcome aboard Pat. It's snowing here in CT as I write this - up to 4 more inches of this white stuff. I haven't had the Viper out since sometime in November. Be patient - Spring is just around the corner. Great color choice. Just remember us Red guys out number you.

I feel your pain, I picked up my Black on Black 2000 GTS on Thursday night.
Took about 10 little trips this weekend, washed it 4 times at the quick spray and we have a foot of snow up here.
I figure all this countersteering is good practice. The guy at the gas station asked me "why I was driving such a sweet ride in the winter?"
Asked him if he could just stare at it till spring if it was his? I think he understood.
What a car....

Patrick, The Ohio VCA president is in your town, Terry Bosserman, BAE Industries. Also, Shawn Rogers has a 2000 RT10 black, both good people. Welcome and check them out.
