Hi All,
I purchased my first Viper last week and I am in love with it. It is a 2006 Coupe with 10000 miles on it. I bought it from a dealer in Augusta, GA and drove it back to Colorado (1800 miles) last weekend. I picked up my son, who lives in Shreveport, LA on the way so he could co-drive the last 1200 miles. We had a great time getting to know the car, the only thing it needs is cruise control out here in the west (already on order!). Here are a few photos of her.

Radar detector mandatory. ;)

Cruise control......not so much.

I've driven my car for many 500 mile stretches without cruise control. Not a problem; but, certainly would rather have had it. One doesn't need a radio either for a 500 mile trip; but, it sure is nice that the car has one.

Congrats, I really like that color combo. That sound like a fun and scenic drive. Nice you had some quality time with your son. I bet now he wants one too. Happy Fourth of July!

Thanks Yes it was a fun time with my son. Yes he does want one. He is now 29, but back when he was in high school, he made a deal with us, if he got straight A's we would buy him a Viper. I added that he had to pay the insurance and he said yes. He even drew up a contract. After his 3rd quarter, he had straight A's, so he called our insurance man. After the insurance man stopped laughing, he told him it would be $3600/year! My son got a B in the 4th quarter and no Viper.
When he graduated from college, his grandfather surprised him with an 87 vette, and he switched to the dark side. After driving my Viper, he said he is considering selling the Vette and getting a Viper. I told him not to sell the Vette though, since Grandpa has passed on now. Besides he has a 2 car garage!

Happy 4th of July everyone!

Welcome to the site. You've deff chosen the "best" color. LOL. Its good to hear you got to spend time with your son in the car. That will make for some awesome memories. Enjoy the ride. If it has the original "run flat tires", GET RID OF THEM. you don't want old tires on there, especialy those.
