This new flywheel saves 13pds over the production flywheel and gives quicker throttle response. Your engine will reach its power band sooner and shift easier. Unlike the earlier flywheels this includes the tone ring for the crank trigger. This flywheel is less costly than the Competition Coupe flywheel and can be rebuilt by the customer (unlike the Tilton Comp Coupe unit which is a throw away when worn). We just purchased the first run of these flywheels and are offering them under retail.

Dan, looks good, what will these do to warranty with DC? Does the lighter mass of this wheel increase stress or wear anywhere up or downstream? thanks

We have installed probably over 100 light flywheels in the Gen 2 cars without any engine or drive-line related problems. As far as the effect on your factory warranty, this has been the policy with most dealerships. If the performance part is not directly responsible for the warranty service required, then it is covered. The performance part is not covered by the factory warranty.

I recently had Dan install the flywheel in my 2003 and it is a GREAT addition. Feels like getting gears at much less cost. No bucking like the older cars and launch is smooth. Highly recommended and I higly recommend Dan.
