Has anyone tried the new kuhmo's competition tire (ecsta v710)? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

If you don't run Viper Days you can run any tire you want, except for maybe slicks.....

Viper days you can run ANY reasonable/legal tire, as long as your not competing for prize money. I used to run Pirelli's and Tom Sessions knew it, and said no problem. I mean lets not be stupid, and think ET Streets and skinnies would make it on the track, or BFG's but anything thats a good street tire, or road course tire/autocross, I think is more then welcome. Last I remember, I have to PAY to race at viper days. Cant see how they can FORCE me to run a particular brand, when I have to pay to play.

So since Tom is my personal Viper Tech, AND Viper Tech for Viper Days. I think I'll take his word for it.

Ok I stand corrected. You can run whatever tire you want in Viperdays however your time will not be counted. At least that's the way I understand it since Michelin is a sponsor of ViperDays.

I'm going to give them a try. Thanks

Saving $200 a set ain't that bad either. That guy on the SCCA forum seemed to like them.

Viper Days will allow any DOT tire. The only issue would be you would not be in the running for a trophy if you have the 1-3rd fastest time in your group.

May we clear up this tire issue.
Michelin is the Sponsor of the Challenge series and anyone interested in running in the series MUST run a Michelin product.
If you chose to run another product you are welcome but you will not be in the in the running for a trophy or points towards Finals.
The new Michelin tires are awesome and wear well.
Hope this clears up this issue!

I have a set of Roadrace Hoosiers mounted on Forge line wheels that I might be willing to sell. They only have one track day on them.

The fronts are 17 x 10 and rears 17 x 12.

Let me know if you are interested.
