I sold my '10 ACR Vert and am working my way around to getting a replacement after realizing how much I'm missing it.

I've been in touch with a few folks and a dealer or two about new unsold '09s that are still sitting around.

Anything I should know before (if/when) I pull the trigger?

Specifically, anything I should know about a car that's probably sat around undriven for upwards of three years? I'd assume an oil change would be first on the list... do the tires flat spot easily (especially the soft MPSCs on the ACR)? Other fluids need changing? Battery charged (if not replaced)?

i know where a couple of them are.

Yes, I'm surprised, especially with the used 09 ACR going for $110k at Barrett-Jackson, that there are still ones around, and they're priced very, very attractively right now. In particular I'm looking at the Viper Very Orange ACR at Baxter. They've made an offer on my Challenger for trade that I'm seriously considering. Selling my 600-hp Challenger is priority right now, and if I can get it out of my garage, another ACR will probably fill its place very quickly.

Yay! Good luck with the search!

Thanks! Saw your picture in the last Viper Magazine... if I get another I'll have to make a road trip and come visit ya!

I bought a 2009 coupe a month and a half ago. It had 842 miles on it. The intake manifold was taken off to plumb Direct Nitrous Oxide.
With the intake removed we noticed oil puddles in the forward area of the cavity, between the intake ports. It was explained to me that,
cause it has been sitting so long, the oil seal "O" ring on some type of cam "Oiler" solenoid was dried out, thus leaking.
The guy doing the Nitrous install is going to replace the "O" ring.

I remember your ACR vert, noticed it right after I bought my 2010 white vert, My 3rd Viper . Traded the 2000 red on a 04 white Mamba, which I traded on a Cts-v so I could haul grandbabies. But missed the Viper so much, even though I had a vette, that a little over a year later I jumped into the srt-10 and will never go back. So I can relate to your wanting a replacement. Happy hunting.

I'm not going to kiss and tell, but I only asked about the 09 ACR. On their web site it's listed at $108,845, and after talking to them it was under $90k.

Baxter has had that 09 priced at 88 or lower for well over a year.

Minimum 20K off MSRP on that car, dealers got incentives from Dodge to move the '09s unlike the 10's.

i got my 09 ACR (black with 1 red drivers stripe) a year ago from Baxter at $20k exactly off of the sticker, so i would think they would do better than that on one now..???

I talked with them a few weeks ago and passed when they only were taking 20K off. I wouldn't pay more than 83K. Used 09 non-ACR coupes (and once you take delivery its used) go for about 75K. Maybe a little more, maybe a little less.

Yea they had several last year for exactly 20k off. I recall seeing yours. At one point they were doing exactly 25k off, but that changed. I called a few weeks ago when they still had the SSG/ silver stripe. They were still at 20k off on both cars. The SSG sold about a month ago.

Did anyone buy that orange/white one? I was curious if this thread would finally get that car sold. I honestly think the white stripes hurt that car and was the reason it sat so long. Good price regardless.

Was hoping it would so unsold a little whole longer. They have a '10 toxic orange acr still though.

fair market value for a 4 year old car. I do not have the exact figure though.

So the 2010 don't have the $20K incentive? Something about those '10 Wide Stripes that I love. It's also a 1 year only look which separates it from 08/09.

The 2010 Red/White Baxter car is beautiful! Non-ACR though.
