I finally got my wheels from HRE! Anyone interested in wheels should give John Wallace at HRE a try! Not your average Salesman! Super courteous, very professional, always communicated with me throughout my buying experience, and I got my wheels exactly when he said I would!

3 projects completed!

1. Custom Stereo System
2. TNT Package (1st of a lot more engine Upgrades)
3. HRE Wheels

The HRE rims look great on your car. The 547s are my favorite HRE wheel, being both elegant and agressive looking.

My next project is to have my Engine Stroked to 514 cid! And EVERYTHING else of course that goes into a package like that! (Heads, Cam, Intake, Forged Pistons, Forged steel connecting rods, balanced & blueprinted, milling of head surface to raise compression to 10:1 etc, etc, etc, etc.......) I'm going to stop when my RWHP matches my license plate.

King GTS, The car looks very very sweet. You cannot go wrong with the HRE 547's or the 546's.
I have not seen to many GTS's with the 547's and I definitely think they look sweet!!

Were they chromed? They look like it--great, great looking wheels.I like my stock 00 wheels, but then when I see something like yours, I begin to feel my wallet move. I had chromed Kinesis K5s on my 95 that had a similar look. I would have gotten the HREs back then but at the time they were right much more. Have fun.

ACELLR8,

I've never seen the 547's on an RT/10 - seeing yours makes me want one!

HRE-547s are the style of choice for folks wanting to show off brake calipers and rotors.......definitely a high-zoot appearance. Note those apperance-upgraded rotors? Big Brake kits, red calipers, and drilled/slots, etc really POP !

I know and like working w/ HREs John Wallace myself.

COMMERCIAL MESSAGE and FYI: I almost ALWAYS make less profit on HREs. Try Me. ie Those wheels above, fully-polished in 18", would be WAY UNDER $5K. WAY, WAY, WAY under. 17" UNDER $4K.
Dont wanna anger John by posting the price.

Wow Trey, those look really HOT!!! They definitely add to the overall appearance of an already perfect, beautiful BLACK Viper. Enjoy!!
What do your side emblems say (besides Viper GTS) it looks like it says something additional? Where did you get the chrome emblems? I like the way they look. Awesome car. Have fun with all your "projects".

VIPERESS,

Thanks a lot Laura. I'm really havin fun w/ the projects. I took my car to TNT Motorsports for some upgrades. I bought what they call a "Serpent 505" package. What you see under the Chrome Viper Emblyms are the badges from that package. It reads "TNT 505 Serpent." The Chrome Emblyms came stock from the factory. I guess since this was the first year for the Deep Sapphire Blue, they did something a little different for the 01 GTS.

HI Laura! Happy New Year!!
Nicki

Okay, I've got my keyboard back now. I like HRE. I had Speedline on my last Viper and I think these look a lot better. Glad to hear from you, I read someone on another thread was looking for you.

Jason,

Prashant's car is AWESOME looking! I met him for the first time last week as I was driving down Westheimer. He pulled over and we talked & I saw his car for the first time too. Sweeeet.
smile.gif
My wheels hadn't come in yet so I couldn't see both cars side 2 side but he E-mailed me some pics and the car is beautiful!
The thing I liked the most about his car was his Chrome Gas Cap from MGW. I had never even heard of them and he was nice enough to tell me exactly where to go buy one. The body kit from Hennessey looks great on his car too! Really nice guy. He actually took the time to teach me some things @ Nitrous and how to use it - and he didn't have to.
smile.gif

A lot of people I deal w/ everyday are fake & full of crap, he seemed "Real."

Prashant is one hell of a guy Trey. Plus he throws some of THE BEST VCA meetings that I've ever been to. Hell my wife & I even flew from Nashville,Tn into Houston last Summer just to meet him and attend one of his meetings. He treated us like royalty, we even stay'd in his house for the week-end. Needless to say we have many more trips planned to Houston for 02'. Hope to meet you then!!

Texas has the best Viper Owners in the US. Tons of great folks. Jeff Ellison (Had lunch with him last Fri. Night in Tn, Thanks again Jeff), Albert C, Bam Bam, Darth Vetter, Bryan S, Paul F. and we can't forget the man himself John Hennessey. JPH even invited the "**** Package" for Prashant.

Jason,

I look froward to getting to know all the guys you mentioned. Unfortunately I don't get out much - always working!
frown.gif

I've talked w/ Darth Vetter (Jon Paul) several times, he's really cool. I think if him & I went out, my wife would be bailing us outta jail in the morning.

I'm going to my first Viper Meeting this weekend and I'm really looking forward to it. I've been a member for years and never been to a meeting. I've heard about the events that Prashant puts on though. Your remarks just confirm that the rumors were all true!! Happy Holidays and I hope to meet you the next time you're in town.

I plan to be there on Saturday and look forward to meeting everyone.

Maybe a few hours around a bunch of Vipers will give me an added boost to get my car done faster.
