I had a Nitrous Express system installed over the winter and finally had a nice warm day where I could go "test" it out. In a word.........IMPRESSIVE!! What a difference. I am waiting to have a window switch put in so because of that, I was always looking at the tach to make sure I was at or above 3000rpm before I floored the throttle. When I did, that V-10 REALLY makes the power. You guys that have nitrous weren't joking when you said that it throws your head back because it does and then some. I thought about getting a blower for a year but man they don't give those things away. Decided on nitrous and am very happy. Best bang for the buck as far as I am concerned. Will post #'s after I have the car dynoed. :headbang:

I am done using it until I get it dynoed. I just wanted to make sure the system was working properly before I took it to get it dynoed. What a blast though! The car pulls so hard, I a grin on my face from ear to ear :D

Careful until you get that new system to a dyno and check your A/F. I watched an 01 Mustang Cobra go nuclear on a dyno yesterday and it wasn't a pretty sight. The motor looked like is was hit by an RPG. A well tuned nitrous system is a wonderful thing. :usa: :usa:

Yes, its a whole lot fun :headbang: :headbang:

Just dyno it soon and dont go too large jets until you know your air/fuel ratio. Congratulations!

Now go out and eat those silly Corvettes!!!! (Start with a Z-06 :D )

2001ViperGTS....All together I paid roughly $2,600 for the complet NX kit, dual bracket, install,etc,etc...
mntngts99....I had the 150 jets in just so I could test it. Only nailed it 2 times and that was enough. I took the bottles out so I wouldn't be tempted again until I get it on the dyno. Ran strong though.
Lauri....Thanx for all of your help, without all of your input, it would have been a lot harder. I am going to go with the 200 shot but again will tune it on the dyno in a couple of weeks.

Gently lift the hood and remove all the plugs (and pray). All cars react a little different to nitrous, plus, published jetting is not exact. Hopefully your tuner puposely left it a little rich. You will be looking for plugs without tips (worst case) or metal splatter, you will need a small magnifying lens.

Believe me I am not making fun, just be cautious till you dyno or install an a/f logger.

Good Luck with the new toy!

Congrats on your first **** & squirt.
Definatly pull #1,If its lean and you see little dots, that be your piston.
If you don't see the electrode that be a lesson learned the hard way.
See you at the dyno in april

Welcome to the Nitrous World. Definitely agree the best bang for buck mod out there. Also about the nitrous RPM window switch. I Put one in my car last summer after running nitrous for 2 years with out it and I love it. Let me know if you need contact info of where to buy one. The one I have has a digital tach, Shift Light and RPM window switch all built into one. I can program it to activate the nitrous solenoids at a certain RPM and even cut it off at a certain rpm. I have it set to cut off at 5500 RPM, always want to cut it before you could bump the revlimiter and get fuel cut.
Also, if you are running a 200 shot consistantly, you might want to use a 1 step colder plug.
Regards,
Ed
