Sidepiped car.
I'm running the car with headers, no cats and only Borlas, is it possible to take away the heat shields inside the sidesills without burning the color? The car is only used for street and Dragracing.
need advice soon, will repaint the sidesills this week.

Why would you want to remove the heat shields to begin with. Trying to save weight? If that's the reason, you would be better off taking the change out of your pocket before driving your Viper. The weight savings will be the same.

Well I would keep the heat sheilds on If I was you...!

I have a 99' silver rt/10 and after 300 miles drivers side sills started to turn yellow... since then the passagner side turned as well After going back and forth with a local dealer they are still not fixed .. ... They blame me for the color change because I must be "racing" the car or leave it idleing for more than an hour at a time .... Mind you that the car has never been on the track or driven hard. and if they had half a brain they would know that if you idle the car for more than 5 mins you feet would melt in the foot wells...... So I would everything I can to avoid this BS nightmare....

Since I have you attention ...answer these two questions if you can....1. How come all the "5" star dealers on Long Island are morons?.... and 2. Do you think that the yellowing of the side sills on light colored Vipers is really a undercover test by dodge to find the next shade of Yellow for the NEW Vipers?

Talk to you later,

Don
