I was geeked up for the show this year and just returned. Plenty of Vettes, the Ford GT, Porsche GT2, F cars, Lambos, lots of great cars, but not a snake to be seen.

Someones 1600hp heffner bumble bee GTS was there being sold through the Dupont Registry, but that was it.

Shame as this doesn't help raise the noise level of the coupe nor the vert. I asked one of the Dodge addorned show hands to point me in the direction of the new coupe. His response in a condescending tone: "We don't make a coupe and you have to be on a waiting list to get the convertible."

An uneducated dealer network furthers the car's spiral into an automotive afterthought.

Considering current inventory levels, you would think that DC could have mustered up one snake.

Makes you wonder if the DC think tank has moved on.

i just got back from the baltimore autoshow myself, poor poor poor choice for dodge to not even show a viper. on the same note chevy didn't show the new z06 as well. the show is called motortrend autoshow, hey motortrend what the helllll you thinking  . the only lone viper was a 2002 yellow gts [******] twin turbo, i will be posting the pics of the car on the gen I,II side later tonight. in the general viper section i'll post some pics of the porshe gt ( wow all should see that car in person - breath taking :2tu: . i really wanted to see the new srt coupe as i personally love the pics so far of the car. the vette's still look good but still look like the other 1 million of them and i cant see the z06 looks wize really looking that much different, i for one think it cant hold a candle to the srt in looks. well i will post some pics tonight of the baltimore car show.

MOTORTREND - YOU **** :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Tom did you see the car next to the bumble bee? Attack made by K1. It is a kit based off the Honda Accord. Car looks amazing. I spoke with the rep and I am thinking of ordering one. http://www.k1-styling.sk/attack.htm

Anyhow, sorry I didn't read the other thread. Would have enjoyed hooking up with you guys while there.

Back to the point: bad move DC

Umm it's baltimore. Most if not all the cars that go to these shows are pulled out of dealer inventory.

Shows in the US that matter are Chicago, Detroit, New York and L.A.

Baltimore, or where ever, if Dodge is really serious about the Viper being a halo car for the brand they'd show it every chance they got. You can't tell me that no dealer in Maryland has a SRT-10 in inventory!

The Detroit show had the SRT-10 Coupe, but no roadsters on the floor (there were videos and still pictures on the display walls, but no actual cars). You really can't tell me that there aren't some roadsters available around Detroit:

You really wonder where Dodge's head is at! How can they whine about the cars not selling if they keep them hidden.

i saw it but didn't have much of a chance to look at it as i had my 5 year old with me (LOL), he's my car man out of the 3 kid's - had to sit in every car that the doors would open. funny thing was he ask where the new viper was that i had been showing him picture's of (HELLO MOTORTREND, EVEN A 5 YEAR OLD NOTICED YOUR POOR CHOICE OF CARS FOR CERTAIN AUTO MAKERS, BUT I DO FEEL DODGE COULD HAVE AT LEAST HAD A LOCAL DEALER BRING IN AT THE VERY LEAST A MAMBA OR THE NEW YELLOW ( EVEN MAYBE ONE OF THE LOCAL GUYS WHO HAD A VCA EDITION ) oh well next year i will not go, this is the second year in a row of a poor show. HELLO NEW YORK :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

I agree but the costs and effort associated with managing a fleet or a number of fleets of autoshow cars is a daunting task. Unfortunately the regional shows do not get the support from the manufacturers that they should. I'd feel ripped off as a participant in the show.

There are SRTs at dealers all over the Baltimore area, including yellow. That show has always had bad representation regarding both Vipers and Vettes. Show is geared to the guy in the market to buy a sedan or suv and wants to sit in it.

Agreed, buying decisions are made at these shows. Last year's show led me to purchase my daily driver. I went with three others and two of them comitted verbally to buying something at the show (you can't b.s. in front of your buddies and not make a move afterward).

Come on D.C. If 90% of something is just showing up, then this was a total failure.
