Many people have pros and cons for NOS. I am considering Tom Welch's kit. While I see some happy owners with NOS, has anyone been unhappy or damaged a motor on their viper yet. No one has said so so far. It seems like the more expensive (perhaps better thought out) ones are okay. Any input anyone?

A proper install with rpm window switches and you
should have no problem. I put 70,000 miles
on my 96 GTS after install of NX system. I used 123
15 Lb bottles with NO engine damage.

I know of one blown engine with a supcharger/NOS set up and no it's not a DLM car, it's a different tuner. Also one creamy cream puff with melted pistons, using NOS/gasoline. This is just second hand info, so I don't know all the details.

I know someone very well who bent a rod using nitrous. Not doing anything wrong except maybe a little too low in rpm (3000) when it was switched on.

I used nitrous on another car, not a Viper. I had no problem with the basic system that I used. It's important that the engine does not run lean. If you hear any strange pops or if things don't seem right, you need to get off of it and see what's wrong. A Viper instalation might not be the same as the one I had experience with. Just thought I'd throw this in.
By the way I'm picking up my first Viper tomorrow. It's a high miles black 94. Wish me luck. JM
