IVE HEARD WITH THE SOLINIODS MOUNTED IN FRONT OF THE THROTTLE BODYS THAT THERES A POTENTIAL RISK FOR THE WHOLE THING TO BLOW UP AND I COULD POSSIBLY LOOSE THE HOOD AND MANIFOLD. IS THIS COMMON. YOU HAVE TO KNOW THAT IM NEW TO THE NOS SCENE. ALSO, DO ANY OF YOU FELLAS KNOW WHERE I CAN GET A SHOP TO DO THE INSTALL?? HOW MUCH? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED...

<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Almost 0% but there is always a chance of something going wrong. Most of the failures (general failures not just Vipers) are either melted pistons (too lean A/F) or your piston being blown out the bottom of the engine block upon startup due to a leaking solenoid. That's why you should always de-pressurize your nitrous line after each use and if you run a gasoline fuel enrichment let the car idle 5 minutes after the use of nitrous prior to shutting down, to let any extra fuel laying in the manifold to burn/evaporate off, how's that for one big run on sentence

SMC,

Nitrous, like any other modification is only as good as the quality of components and competence of the user/installer.

My own Viper makes an additional 300 RWHP with nitrous, on the stock bottom end with no ill effects. I race the hell out of my car.

The elimination of Detonation is the key to any good nitrous/supercharge/turbo installation. With correct air/fuel ratios the power potential of any internal combustion engine becomes substantial. The best part of a nitrous application is that any excessive engine strain-wear is only taking place during the short bursts of nitrous injection.

Remember one simple item........YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

Good luck with your search.
