o2 spacers???

on my 02 gts i got rid of the cats and the odd time my check engine light will come on and its from that i erase it with my sct tuner but i thought i remember on here a post about putting a washer where the o2 sensor goes into to pulll it out of the stream more.... I searched but cant find it anyone able to help me??? thanks alot!

I thought with the sct you could turn that check off? I dont have cats so i assume thats all thats needed?

Only if his SCT tune was programmed for 02 delete. A plain old SCT handheld is just a ODB-II code reader/clearer once you load the pre-loaded tunes. If he has the Pro-Racer software. he can do the 02 delete and upload the new tune. If it was a mail order tune and he did not indicate 02 delete (same as say the skip shift delete), it will not take care of the rear 02 sensors. That's why all mods and other things you have done/plan to do need to be factored into these tunes. Not sure that is the case in this case, but just saying....

Dan lesser made the tune up for me i told him everything that was done to the car, and he emailed me a tune!! but im getting a lot of black smoke fumes over the back of the car. i think its running to rich!! And ya check engine light keeps coming on now n then!!

no its not that rich!! lol I had my sti tuned at worlwideracing in florida complete standalone and when it came up to Canada man oh man it was rich like step on it and ya would see a big blast of black smoke come out!! And ya could smell fuel in the oil before i got it tuned!! No this isnt nothing like that its just running a tad rich with a little black fumes on the tail every now n then i just got a get it on a dyno and tuned a little better thats all!!

Plug the o2 hole and zip tie your sensors in the rear to a portion of the frame.
