The famous oak tree that stood guard over Viriginia International Raceway’s Oak Tree Turn is down. According to track owner Connie Nyholm, the tree fell after breaking at its base.

Not sure if everyone had heard about this yet. What crazy timing as we are headed up there in 10 days for the NARRA event.

Yes because I viewed it after I posted it. It was two photos from VIR taken from the tree post of my track day. And I saw it post.
