I have an Actron CP9135. The last 4-5 times I used it, it seems to not be getting a connection. Sometimes the display is full of jibberish and symbols. If I mess with it, jiggle it, shake it, tap on it, BANG ON IT,:D etc, it eventually works. I'm thinking it's probably a cracked circuit board? Anybody else have this issue? what's the resolution...buy a new one?
Thanks

Hey Chip, I just bought the CP9185. I had to use it to read my fuel trims on both banks. I think that would be a good bet for you. Can do everything that you will need it to do at real time.

9185 is about $210?? 9180 is $130 on Amazon.
Looks like the only difference is the 9185 will "Display graphing data".

Yea well I paid more than that. I think it was like $240 at Advance Auto Parts. I had to have one right then so I had to pay top dollar for it. If the only difference is the graphing then I would just by the 9180. I never used the graphing anyways.

I really have only used it for the fuel trims but I do not think I can use it for the air fuel. B/c Doug Levin said I would need to buy a a/f system too. But I will check it out and see if it says anything about it.

OK. I've got a WBO, but was just wonderin' what all the functions it did read from the O2's. I'll probably go with the 9180. I'll tell Actron to send you the commission :D
