Just sent my Check to Philadelphia Ins cos for $581 for a $37,500 agreed value on my 98 GTS. It's up from $510 since last year. Hopefully Viper owners will stop going off-roading in their Vipers.

Is that comp and collision? I filled out their quote online and got like $550 or so for $50K policy, but when I read the coverages at the end, that was only for collision or comp, I can't remember. When I added the other, it went to over $1k.

Yes Comp and Collision and I think $300k liability. NJ is among the highest states for insurance rates.

Grundy is no longer offer single policies so there really isn't anything Chuck
can do on his end. PHLY has been dicking me around for over a month now,
I am getting the distinct impression they're hoping I give up instead of just
telling me they don't want to cover me. As it stands I am FAR from being
impressed with the new situation.

I'm with you. In all my years I have not and never will get anywhere near the return on investment (monthly premiums) that I have put into insurance. Insurance is one of the bigger scams going on in America today. And of course, having insurance is THE LAW!!! I wish there was a law that everyone had to buy my software, even if they never used it.

Chuck, I assume from the above that you don't have collision and comprehensive insurance ? I agree that over my lifetime, the cost versus return was not a good trade off at all. I never did follow through and cancel those coverages, though. I would not describel myself as a very savvy financial manager.
