Yep it had the POTENTIAL to be Bad *** like the GTS instead DC did "just Enough" by slapping a hard top on the SRT-10. Even though it will probably be slower than the Z06, atleast owners will have exclusitivity.

One of the things that makes this coupe look better is that it is much lower than previous ones shown by DC.

In case you missed this it's a public forum and it's merely my opinion I don't expect everyone to agree. It's funny how some rag on GM for doing "Just Enough to stay afloat" (and I do agree they DO that) but when Dodge finds it too much of a challenge to squeeze 50 more horsepower out of 505ci you guys could care less rather spouting production numbers.

Sorry maybe slapping a hardtop on a convertible is revolutionary to you but not me. If you actually READ my post I gave props to the GTS the way it exploded onto the car scene. If I was so much a troll I would have been banned a long time ago.

Guess I'm just not one to roll over and say, hey I don't need outrageous looks or speed, when I have exclusivity.

By all means more power to you. :2tu:

Car does look good lowered and in this color with those rims. At first glance, I thought I was looking at a GTS. Mine happens to be that color combo too.

Who did the lowering - how much lower - what shocks & springs - anyone know? Looks like stock tires.

Yes its Photoshop but it is a great question and Im sure a lot of new gen 3 guys would like to see an answer. Should I post this on the gen 2 board? What type of wheels, sizes ball park price. Mods to lower the car shocks and springs price etc ?

Keith, I can answer the wheel question. :) The ones on the red/silver coupe I added are HRE 540R's.

I actually agree with ya... Dodge could have done more.. and I think they should have, and I'll wait until they do. Constructive critacism is a good thing, and thats what you are doing, you have my vote, no matter WHICH brand you are loyal too !! If it makes sense, it makes sense.. :2tu:

Mods list

1. One set of HRE 540R's. Thanks Austin

Last question for anyone. Best way to lower the SRT 10 (not the cheapest)? Simple answer will do.

No problem, Keith. I can answer your other question as well. Motons seem to be the best way to go. They arent cheap, but they're adjustable and work really well. Heres a pic of my buddies MAMBA; lowered with Moton Sports.

Big fan of the Srt 10 vert since it came out in 03. When guys like your buddy and pjb (just to give an example) lower the car and change the wheels, they transform the car into the coolest looking ride on the planet and I plan on doing the same to my coupe. The best part of any Viper is modding it to what every you like. Street, track, bracket racing what ever you want. Your photoshop pics expose the true potential of the car and silence any critic.

Thanks again.

Keith, not a problem. I agree with you, the SRT looks great when its modded (ie; wheels, lowered etc...). If you need any other info on the SRT posted above, feel free to ask.

[/QUOTE] Seeing such cool rides in your list makes you welcome IMO. Having been obsessed with Vipers since the prototype myself, I try to make the same point. Why does a roof and a spoiler require more money. DC had an opportunity to make real improvements like weight savings, hp increase, etc, like they did on the original GTS and they didn't. They also had the nerve to paint some coupes with blue with white stripes but not labeling it a GTS.
I like the looks of the coupe better than the SRT but still am waiting for the GEN IV with rumored more hp and and hopefully more Viper worthy looks to convert me from a Gen I and II fan to a new model fan.
