Oil leak help

Nice pics. There is no question in my mind, the timing case cover gasket is your leak! When you get the cover off, you'll find the gasket in the area that it is leaking, the gasket will be bowed inward. I had to do that job on my 94, and on many others. It should only take two hours to do it.

The timing gasket is probably still there in the area of the leak, but it may have moved inward, allowing oil to escape. I had the same thing happen to a 97 GTS on the rear of the engine at the main seal retainer. The gasket had bowed outward and allowed oil to escape. The solution was to remove the trany, then the clutch and flywheel, then the seal retainer. The new gasket is wider and has a seal bead down the middle to correct the problem. If you have an extended warranty, it should be covered.

The Service Manual you need is #81-270-4150. Go to www.techauthority.com you can get it there.

Yes you will have to take the Hood off. No big deal, with two people take the four nuts off on Hood [No Pun Intended

] lift it off and set it on two saw horses.

You will need the following parts:
#5245133 Timing case cover gasket
#5245691 Oil pan gasket
#5245581 Oil filter adapter gasket
#5245473 O/ring for water pump
#5010884AA Tube of silicone
