Ok..how do I stop the oil from getting into the airbox under braking?

Seems to be worse on late braking right hand turns. Need to make the permanent fix. Do I just vent the valve cover at the rear? Could a bad PVC valve cause more of a problem?

Going to the track soon and need to take care of this finally.

Thanks,

Many people use some sort of "puke tank", or oil collection system. I bought my setup from Heffner and it seems to work well....though some have reported that there is still a strong odor that comes out the top, and is then sucked in by the AC system. I can confirm this to a certain degree but I still have some testing to do. Others have taken the same setup and simply removed the filter on top and routed the hose back to the airbox. Oil is collected in the tank and fumes go back where they belong. :)

I'm assuming that's routed to both valve covers?

I'm running a similar system and yes it is connected to both valve covers.

Yes, that blue fitting actually REPLACES the hose bit that goes foward into the airbox. The new hose is routed over to the tank, which I decided to mount on the passenger side. Some remove the windshield washer tank and mount the puke tank there....YMMV of course.

Jerry - Can you tell us more about installation. I would have thought that the hose on the right of the filter would be connected to the driver side crankcase tube - where there is a merger of the 2 banks... I presume the hose on the left side of the filter is attached to the air filter.
