So I'm getting ready to get some new air filters for my car, as my K&Ns are looking tired and dingy.
Do you think I should go with the tradtional red, or the blue, even though its a different shade than GTS Blue?

I think the blue would look sweet even if the shades are off bit.

I'll vote for blue too. The blue colored oil is an interesting idea... I've used blue oil on a dirt bike filter but it was not made by K&N. Those valve covers look sharp too...

Damn, you guys are making this easy with all the one-sided votes!

Chuck, I was actually thinking about gluing blue crayons to the filters as a cheaper alternative.

It's hard to go by those pics, but since that is all we have, I say the blue. I like te crayon idea though as well.

I like how the valve covers match your exterior color, but I would be carefull getting too 'monotone'. I say Red filters, Yellow AB wires, and the polish work you've done would really make things POP under your hood (but, I've also been acused of liking rice :D)

PS. What is the K&N part number for those filters?

Red Filters... leave it just the way that it is. What is attracting your attention is the dirty filters Ryan. We all know you are OCD , so just clean em and move on to
another mod that will make you happy :D

Black or Silver spray if they make it. Any other color and it attracts too much attention........ for a filter anyway!

Get the exact blue color and paint them.

LOL, spit my coffee out:)

My vote is for Red. Just clean em and re-oil. Or if your set on buying new ones make sure a forum member in need gets a good deal on your used ones:2tu:

For as long as I can remember air filters have been treated as bling on an engine.

We used to add chrome air filters, and run exposed metal screen filters with oiled screens, to help clean out the smaller particles.

Your original red filters can be cleaned and re-oiled to look just like new with the K&N cleaning kit. (cheaper than replacing them).

Nothing like one Stromberg carb with its own filter for each cylinder. (Never ever got them all in balance though, even using the trick stethascope method)

Alright folks...ordered the blue filters. Will return with pics when the new stuff arrives.

Anyone who needs the filters coming off my car, shoot me a PM and I'll get them out to you once I get the new setup installed

Great minds think alike. I wanted to save money for some 24" wheels so I went the crayon route. It was looking good but it turned out to be cost prohibitive.
