If I am not mistaken the HID (true HID not the bulbs) don't take as much juice to run as the factory halogen lights. Infact I think they are easier on the electrical system than the OEM lights are. They also run cooler..

In the steady state, they run cool. But in start up, it takes a lot to run the ballast and starter. It is best that you use a relay from the battery to power the HID system, rather than run off the switched power from the headlights.

Do the gen1's (95 in particular) take the H3 fog light bulbs as well. So let me get this straight..... 9005's 9006's and H3's will get me all new light up front......right?

Not sure that HID brights are a good idea. It takes a second or two to reach full intensity, plus on-off operation can compromise the system. So flashing your brights is out.

No, I mean just straight swapping out the stock lights for newer (whiter) bulbs. 9005, 9006, and H3's right? Thanks in advance,
