BTW... All you need is a generic power steering pulley puller.... You can get a loaner at many auto parts shops. Pep Boys, Advance Auto, Autozone, etc. etc.

Did mine in about an hour including the replacement of the bracket.

Got my bracket and Pulley from IPSCO. His instructions are spot on so doing it is easy. He even shows you photos of the types of puller to use. This is really a breeze.

Puller didn't work for me. Go straight for the sawzall and be done with it.

Dremel with cutoff wheel seems a little more surgical, LOL !
Agreed. But those Dremel cutoff blades are very thin and brittle; they shatter easily the moment you put any side pressure on them. My experience anyway trying to cut enough relief cuts in the metal pulley hub to free it from the shaft.

I broke away the whole plastic pulley, then cut off the metal hub with a small hacksaw, rotating the shaft very slowly so I could cut from the front of the hub to the back, ( I did not have pullers available) Then as other posters have said, when I was almost through to the shaft, I inserted a flat head screwdriver into the saw blade gap and split off the hub.

Don't rush it, take your time :)

I did all the work with the pump mounted on the car :)

I also changed out the PS Bracket too :)

This is the correct puller tool for this job. O'Reilly's It pulls from the center hub,

The ones with the clamp/jaw type is incorrect!!!!!!!!LOL Sometimes it takes a woman to get the job done right lol
