Parade of 200 Vipers at MIS: anyone know when this was?

When I was at a race at Michigan International Speedway in the early to mid 90s, there was a spectacular parade before the race started that consisted of about 200 1st gen Vipers driving around the entire track. I haven't been able to find any information about this occasion, and was wondering if anyone knew what race and year this happened.

I've been looking through my archives and old video tapes to see if I have any footage of it. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

1994. It was part of the 1st Viper Owners' Invitational.

We stayed in Troy for VOI 1. Safe Marriott hotel and area. VOI X we stayed in the two casino hotels downtown Detroit. We were told NOT to walk around the buildings and Not to get gas in that area.

Wow! 26 years ago.... that advice that you received back then was really accurate. You wouldn't recognize the area today. Detroit has gone through some much really cool growth in the last 10 years! Lived in the area all my life, and i still can't believe it.
