I have used the search tool which was informative but didn't completely answer my questions.

Can a Paxton be installed without any other mods....or do I Need
to change the gears, exhaust, any parts of the drivetrain? I assume some sort of ECU upgrade is needed. Also where in the NY area can I get this installed? Thank You

AND depending on HP, you may need bigger fuel pumps, bigger fuel lines, bigger injectors, fuel rails, etc, etc, etc . . . .

You can actually bolt on a basic Paxton kit onto a bone stock viper. It comes with their upgrade for a fuel system. While not the optimum setup that we install on high power applications, it does work.

Your air / fuel ratio "should" be safe, but also should be checked after your install. A computer reflash will optimize your paxton setup but it is not a necessity.

We can assist you if you need any guidance.

Thanks all for the info.

Tator likes the Roe system. Now which is prefered the Roe or Paxton. Seems like more Viper owners have the Paxton.

The Roe Paxton debate is about the only debate argued here w/ more passion than the Obama debate:D.

Sean Roe is a class act and very smart. He just does not have a Gen 3 blower yet. I have been waiting since 06 for one, many guys in here are still waiting and will wait until Sean actually releases his blower b/c Sean is a very good tuner of impeccable character.

Now, having said that, I simply cannot continue to wait:rolleyes: for the Roe blower. I am ready to go fast as hell right now!

There are many guys in here also of impeccable character that love Paxtons. Some guys in here hate them. Then there is the TT debate, which you can get from Castenella for about 18-20k, and which will smoke anything on the planet, including the Bugatti.

Tator wont touch Paxtons for his own reasons, and Tator is a first class act. However, several guys in here (Daniel Lesser, Doug Levin, DC Performance, etc) will put on a Paxton for you and tune it for you.

Paxtons are good, Roes are good (just not available for gen 3 yet), you cannot go wrong with either in my opinion.

YES but as another poster stated above, make sure that a dyno run is done to check A/F ratio, boost level and power.

If Chuck will not do it, here is a list of Paxton Dealers in New York ( I have no idea which, if any, have installed a Paxton kit on a Viper. Use someone who has done it before and can give you references.) (The list is from the Paxton web site.):

Automotive Effects17 State Street Westbury, NY 11590 516-334-3304 www.automotiveeffects.com S-K Speed Inc. 1075 Route 109 N. I had mine installed at Woodhouse Dodge in Nebraska last year. I put 1800 miles on the car and blew the rear seal on the paxton. I spoke with Mark at Woodhouse and told him about the oil. I first took it to the local dealer, he said that is was coming from the Paxton. I then called Mark and within ONE week they picked my car up in an enclosed trailer and are fixing it as we speak under warranty. Customer service is the key with aftermarket add ons and Mark @ Woodhouse has been AWESOME!!!!

BTW, since it had to go back to Woodhouse, I am having them install the 08 hood :headbang:. Mark twisted my arm ;).

Good Luck with what ever you do, just remember about the service AFTER the install.

For New York I would go w/ Daniel Lesser of Viper Specialty Performance. Look him up in here under FinalGTS. I think he is the best Paxton installer in NY.

I see u changed your name from Final GTS to Viper Specialty. I dont know why u are not listed...what do you have do w/ Paxton to become listed on their site? Let me know if we can help. I seem to have created some type of Viper "cluster" in my town. I was the only SRT for miles for the last 2 yrs, now I am seeing them pop up all around:D! Most of us will be going w/ Paxtons and I will make sure they all know about you.:2tu:

Hi Keith,

Yep, I changed the name a while back... figured it was time! Everyone should be able to put 2+2 together that I am "Final GTS" (hopefully! haha)

My guess is that we simply slipped through the cracks with Paxton. We have sold quite a few of them, so that isnt the issue, nor has it ever come up. If I was to bet, I would say its the result of our first order with them years ago- we were in such a hurry to get the product, that the account was slapped together as quickly as possible... probably just forgotten or skipped over someones desk on they way into the file cabinet.

I would certainly appreciate any business thrown our way- and I dont forget! We are trying to get things with the new building rolling right now, and fingers crossed, we may be able to handle next winter in an excellent fashion- drive your project cars here in the fall, tell us what you want done, and pick them up in the spring completed, simple as that. For larger projects, we will store them FREE, heated and covered for the winter. The new building will be able to store about 20 cars when we go into "hibernation", and will allow us to handle a large number of projects without having to deal with the weather constraints that usually creates a slow-season for us when the weather takes a turn for the worst and cars cant be moved effectively...or at all!
