Just got VEC2 installed, the car drives great, but the oil pressure is near max in first through fourth gear...Is that normal for supercharged vipers..@ 7 PSI

Mike ... The oil pressure is somewhat higher when under boost, I have noticed this as well since my Paxton install. No problems have seemed to come of this to the best of my knowledge - so far anyway. Curious - why did you change from the split second unit out for the Vec 2? Planning on a smaller pulley maybe? Nice numbers you've pulled btw. I don't have headers like you only Corsa Track and pulled 682rwhp but 602rwtq with std pulley just for comparison. It's great to be boosted for sure!

SnakeEye, split second was too limited, and very hard to tune{because of the stepped headers}. As for the HP I had them limit it...Was told by just about everyone to do so {cast pistons}..first dyno reading after vec2 install was 726 rwhp. I love vec2's options and the ability to get more HP with just the swipe of a card. DC should really look at making S/C an option from the dealer...there is no comparison between the car before and after.. :2tu:

Not sure but maybe your crank case needs more venting? Pressure building up causing oil pressure to go up? Maybe a good question to call DLM on.

If it's really bad you'll see your dipstick start popping out of the tube.

Thanks guys...I took the car to the dealer and the problem was a bad oil sender unit. called Paxton also and was told the oil pressure should remain the same as before S/C..just a slight increase at high rpms...pressure between 50 to 85 psi is normal. :2tu:

Suspected it was another problem. My oil pressure goes up to about 75 - 80 at rpm, same as pre-Paxton. But I'm running 15W50 now and was running 10W30 before, both Mobil 1.
