Just got home from the Carlisle All Chrysler Nationals in PA! For those of you that have not been, it is a all Chrysler car show with about 4000 cars and 40,000 people! It covers everything Chrysler made from the 1920s to current. Rams, Viper, Muscle Cars, Neon, Jeeps, FWD, RWD, 4WD, everything! Even some things Chrysler related you have never seen! There is even a vendors midway as well as a swap meet that stretched out would be close to 3 miles long!!

The weather this year on the Friday could have been better. We had torrential rain storms with flooding of the showfield and parts midway. Was not pretty. I was walking in soggy shoes in under 5 min thats how fast the rain came! To say there were some wet Vipers was an understatement!

Saturday came with clean weather though and a hot muggy sun. Better than rain though!

There was many Vipers represented there!!

Thought you would like some photos of whats out there!

P.S. I have no clue why the pics from Saturday have a blue hue to them! ;)

Robert, it was very nice meeting you, seeing your Viper, AND you gorgeous '90 Cummins Ram. I actually had to move the Bee to higher ground on Friday where we were showing, since it turned into a river. However, Saturday was indeed a perfect day. Barring any unforseen circumstances, the Viper will make an appearance again next year, after sitting home in the garage this year, as Friday was the day I was going to show it. I would have never made it out of the fairground on Friday with it being lowered. After I turned right out of Gate 3 (we bailed to go hang back at the Hampton until time to go to dinner) my SRT8 barely made it through.

Also attending the event, was none other than Herb Helbig (Viper - retired) and Dick Winkels (Viper Engineering)! They were even kind enough to pull out some older slides and give a history lesson on the Gen 1,2,3 and 4th gen development. The info and knowledge these guys have is beyond amazing. My thanks for their taking the time to come down to PA and share it with us.

Robert, thanks for the additional pics. You got a nice one of my MDTDC buddy Andy with his new-to-him black '05 2500 with stacks. (He's the heavyset fellow in the white t-shirt by the bed of the truck in your pic). His truck made over 1100 hp (with spray) on the dyno on Saturday! I was telling him about your truck, I wish I had been there up the hill, I would have introduced you.

I remember Andy. Last year he was still running a red 2nd gen long box club cab if memory serves.

Man I really wish I could have made it. But I would have driven 7 hours friday night after work in the rain with a chance of flooding! Was not willing to take that chance as the viper likes to hydroplane when there is standing water. Anyways I will make it to another event this year to meet you guys. Looks like everyone had a great time. Congrats!!

Correct, his 98 12-valve He sold that a few months back to buy the 05. Kid that bought his old truck has wrecked it, we've heard.

Thats too bad. Was a nice truck. Guess it was too much power for him and it got away on em?

Great photos and obviously a super time -- neat that Dick and Herb showed up for the Club. Always cool info from those two, so that had to add alot to the affair?!

Glad you are all enjoying the pictures!

Therei s one picture that I dont have that I know exists. When I tried to start the Viper my battery was dead. Considering it was at full juice 2 min prior and I have never had an issue, we are guessing something shorted inside the cells.

Someone has pics of me installing a new battery on the show field! :rolaugh:

It was a pleasure!

I can imagine that Saturday was not very conducive to photos!

Nice pics as well! Nice boom shot.
