Pics of HRE 545R\'s finally!
Well I finally got around to taking the trip up to Chucks to install my HRE/Pirelli rim and tire set up I purhased from Brian Evans. First I must say Brian is a stand up guy and was extremely helpful and patient throughout the purchase. THANKS AGAIN BRIAN.
The Rim and tire package is HRE 545R's 19x10 in front with 275/30's and 20x13 in the rear shod with 345/25's and is truely a work of art. The workmanship and design is amazing. The pictures do no justice. Brian had the entire rim polished including the entire barrel front and rear as well as the inner star. The quality is just amazing. Tires are Pirelli Asymetricos.
Initially i was a bit concerned about the effects a plus 1 package would have on handling, final gear ratio and wieght. Now that I have installed them and accumulated roughly 200 miles behind the wheel, I couldn't be any happier.
For one, the rear 20' rim and tire is at least 10 pounds lighter than the stock package. I actually picked each one up while they were making the swap. Additionally the 20' rears are roughly .4' shorter in diameter and therefore no adverse effects to final gear ratio. Finally and most notably, the ride has improved considerably. bumps are less jarring and the car feels more nimble. Obviously this is a result of the reduction in unsprung weight at each corner. Traction is also much improved due to the softer compound of the non-run flat Pirellis.
As for looks, I could not be any happier. the 545R is one of the nicest Rims available. The lip on the rim just looks amazing on the car, especially the rear. It must be 4 inches deep. As for the ride height, which I am sure will be a comment from somoene, I will be looking into Motons in the spring to further improve handling and to lower the car. However at this point the height doesnt bother me all that much. But I do agree, it will look better with a lower stance.
Here are some quick shots i took... ENJOY...
Here is the rear setup:

Here are few more misc.:
Thanks Again Brian!
