Figured I would start a thread showing the contrast between our vipers and the car that take us around on a daily basis. Now I commute 100 a day round trip to work. So I would run an new car into the ground in no time. So I go with something used. My requirements for a commuter car are simple engine with a timing chain, manual gear box, working A/C and get 25 + mpg. So here are some pics of my GTS with my current daily driver A SAAB 9-3 Vector 2.0 turbo, 6 speed manual.

This is my favorite pic of the two together, taken not long after I bought the '95. I made the jump from the tuner world into my Viper. Since this was taken, I've traded the Mitsu in on a 2012 Veloster for the hour drive to work every day. I'll snag a pic of the new one with the GTS when I get the chance.

No picture together, but I'm all Mopar:

2013 Dart SXT 1.4 Turbo w/ 6-speed is the daily
I have a 22 mile round trip commute. 100 would ****....and I've though about it. I could buy a house for cheap in farther out, but I like to have a life, and not spend it commuting.

My 1997 Plymouth ACR I bought back in 2000. It's my current daily, paid for many times over, cheap insurance, cheap to operate and an absolute blast to drive. In between buying this and the SSG I have had probably 70 other vehicles, but this one always sticks around (I even regrettably sold it twice for a short bit of time and bought it back twice!)

The Power Wagon sits unless I need a truck for whatever reason.

Don't have a pic, but my DD is a white 2011 Corvette base coupe.

.......don't really need a pic either, cuz who hasn't seen a million of those.

Wife's car is an 09 SRT8 Challenger.

There really is no daily driver. There are four performance vehicles. Here are two of them. What I drive changes. Sometimes I drive more than one in one day. The Jeep and the Challenger are driven the most. Then the Viper. Then the Lightning. If you want to see each of the four cars in action, go to this link. http://www.youtube.com/user/Fasterthanyou64

<--------- My avatar is my daily, lol. Other than that I have a 67 Dart with a 5.7 hemi swap that I'll hop in from time to time when the weather is a little nicer. No A/C (yet at least), so when things start to cool off some it will probably come back out a little more. The other other backup is a 71 Corvette and a 96 Honda Magna motorcycle.

Great Thread Darren... Your DD looks much better than you described it:2tu: Here are my 2 daily drivers... The one in the background runs out to the street for the paper, mail and garbage pails and gets used more days than the 12 JGC. I seem to be drawn to silver shiny objects:D

Here are the backups and former DDs. Drove the Vette through high school and some of college. Bought the Dart at the end of college and drove it to work for the first few months. Have since updated it with a new hood and wheels. Need to get a picture of the whole stable one of these days.

Thanks Charlie. As for the Saab, I really like it as a daily driver. It's much nicer than the ****** car I had before it.

Ok guys and girls. Here are A couple of pics of the ****** car I had before the Saab. All I can say is I bought it for $1500 bucks, abused it for 4 years, hit and killed 2 deer with it, and had 2 other deer run into the side of it. Drove it 100 miles A day back and forth to work. My co-workers called it the deer slayer. I put 100k miles on it for A total of 230k, and sold it for $500 bucks when I was done with it.

I can't tell you how many people read that bumper stick and laughed at me. :D
