Please help 2003 SRT

2003 srt. I have ac or heat, that depends on how i route my tubing on passanger side. Car was from florida, so owner didnt want any heat in cabin. When i rerouted everything correctly, the AC does not work. All i get is heat.
Let me correct, the condensor turns on when i push the button and all lines are cold. I just cant get it into the cabin.
Something tells me i have a damper in the dash not working properly. Ive taken the dash apart no help. How can i get to the damper. Im completely baffled.The thermostat control does nothing, its hot or cold depending on how i route the tubing. Can i reach the damper from the engine bay, i surely didnt need this **** today, but oh well.
