Tom... Drove the GTS in to the office today. On a day when our low is probably your high. Between this and the rain pic I'm thinking a set of Dave's junior "training" wings is in order.

Eh. Rarely unattended in public is anti-DD. Clip your wings.

Another category. The part-time DD. I blame Tom. All of his threads end up getting way too technical :D I think to qualify as a part-time DD, you have to drive at least 100 miles per week and supply us with pics of your car parked near the shopping cart holder in a grocery store parking lot and at least one (1) pic of the car after it's been snowed on with the snow at least two (2) inches deep on the hood. Meeting these requirements will earn you the november-april DD break you have requested.
I think a GTS would have some issues getting around in this. :D
You must be registered for see images

Yes, my convertible is my winter vehicle.:lmao:

Tom, it looks like I'm gonna have to put my promotion up to the committee, since you've decided as the DD Dictator to deny me that right.

Personally, I think leaving the car unattended outside the naughty book store for 5 minutes is an attribute of DDism for the swinging single guy.

Let's put 2 and 2 together... and I see some foreplay. Let me explain...
  1. You say you drive to the "office" because there's always a space.
  2. But you also don't leave your car unattended for very long.
  3. You stay at the naughty book store for 5 minutes.
My conclusion is you work at a naughty book store?

PS: 5 minutes and you're done? Single, yes. Doesn't sound very "swinging".

My father drove his (now mine) '96 RT/10 daily. I couldn't do it because of ergonomics. My Miata, on the other hand, is my daily driver.

She knows what she wants. :headbang:

I just have to fetch it. :D

I think you owe the "committee" a little more explanation and some personal references.

Do you, swinging single guy, know enough "she" people that would provide favorable reviews of whatever it is you do (and apparently don't do) in 5 minutes? Or am I totally misinterpreting your comments and you are talking about the she-ep you have to fetch?

Dave, still concerned with your resume. Please answer the following:

  1. where is the windshield washer fluid reservoir and have you ever filled it?
  2. bought complete wiper arms or just changed rubber blades?
  3. replaced the 3M clear on the front of side sill?
  4. have you buffed the headlight lenses?
  5. worn a heel hole through the carpet?
  6. spent more on gas or parts?
  7. bought any underhood hoses that have hardened from age or heat?
  8. drive co-worker in to the "office" even once?
  9. Which number on the shift knob wears off first?
  10. has either foglight lens cracked?
  11. how many times has your rear view mirror been re-glued to the windshield?
  12. what is the longest trip made in your Viper?

Let's see how you do on this entrance exam. There may be follow up questions.

I hope you voted based on who accumulated the most miles in the car....

So now we have the "its not my DD, but was someone else's DD" category :rolaugh:

I would like to introduce these questions into the fold. Have you ever been a DD (designated driver) in a DD (daily driver) Viper? What club were you at? How many beers had your buddy had? Were you in Texas? Was his name Dave?

And....how many people have you had in/on your Viper at one time and actually driven on a city road? (my answer is 4, including me :lmao: ) That should be the real test of a DD Viper quiz. Do you still take the Viper when you have to pick up more than one person :lmao:

Dave, still concerned with your resume. Please answer the following:

  1. where is the windshield washer fluid reservoir and have you ever filled it?

Closet. Climate controlled. And empty of fluid...
  2. bought complete wiper arms or just changed rubber blades?

    Blades.
  3. replaced the 3M clear on the front of side sill?

That product is ***. Don't use it.
  4. have you buffed the headlight lenses?

    What for?
  5. worn a heel hole through the carpet?

    There's hard plastic there.
  6. spent more on gas or parts?

I spent $21K modding last year. Um...
  7. bought any underhood hoses that have hardened from age or heat?

Not that ignorant of proper periodic maintenance.
  8. drive co-worker in to the "office" even once?

All the office gals have ridden in it.
  9. Which number on the shift knob wears off first?

    HowTF should I know?
  10. has either foglight lens cracked?

Never look. Never turn them on.
  11. how many times has your rear view mirror been re-glued to the windshield?

    Once.
  12. what is the longest trip made in your Viper?

260 miles non stop, 600 in one day for the Roundup.

Let's see how you do on this entrance exam. There may be follow up questions.

Grade me now.

1. where is the windshield washer fluid reservoir and have you ever filled it?
Closet. Climate controlled. And empty of fluid...
How do you clean bugs off the windshield after *** mph sporty driving? -1

2. bought complete wiper arms or just changed rubber blades?
Blades.
Frugal. Sign of DD. +1

3. replaced the 3M clear on the front of side sill?
That product is ***. Don't use it.
Free pass since you must not understand the question. This is the OEM material placed on side sills, probably where you have a fancy vent now. +0

4. have you buffed the headlight lenses?
What for?
Your car doesn't get enough sun to degrade the plastic. -1

5. worn a heel hole through the carpet?
There's hard plastic there.
After you wear through the plastic, you get Wally Mart carpet, then wear through that. -1

6. spent more on gas or parts?
I spent $21K modding last year. Um...
Not enough seat time. -1

7. bought any underhood hoses that have hardened from age or heat?
Not that ignorant of proper periodic maintenance.
OK, you know how to open hood. +1

8. drive co-worker in to the "office" even once?
All the office gals have ridden in it.
Bonus answer. +2

9. Which number on the shift knob wears off first?
HowTF should I know?
The correct answer is the "6" but "4" would have been accepted, too. Again, not enough seat time. (See example below.) -1

10. has either foglight lens cracked?
Never look. Never turn them on.
Trick question. They crack from heat (being on) and hit with cold water (rain.) -1

11. how many times has your rear view mirror been re-glued to the windshield?
Once.
Sounds like typical age and use. +1

12. what is the longest trip made in your Viper?
260 miles non stop, 600 in one day for the Roundup.
Don't get cocky, this should be normal +1

Grade me now.

I dunno, but looks like there is still a ways to go. Adds up to a big fat zero.
