Porsche's are great, but vipers are just as capable and just cooler, imo. I was out at thunderhill this weekend and everyone wanted to talk about my crazy orange ax-******. People love the looks of the car.

I'm not the greatest driver in the world, but I enjoy learning and being on track. If you haven't you really owe it to yourself to actually learn how to drive this car. I've only had the viper for 3 weeks and I just did my first track day. I feel like I have a much better handle on the car and it was so much fun. Stop worrying about 0-60 times and junk like that and get your car on a race track....whatever it is.

You must be registered for see images attach

PS: There is no porsche outside the carrera GT that will elicit more oooohs, ahhs, and gap mouthed looks then the viper....if that's what you are into....this is the car for you, hands down.

I owned a TT Turbo with 500hp to the wheels and my ACR at the same time. I also race a Porsche and love the brand. But I sold the TT and still have my ACR that I love as much today if not more than the day I bought it in 09. If it’s not your everyday car keep the Viper or trade it in on an ACR

I am thinking about trading my Viper for an 05 Porsche 911 turbo S cabrio.
Does or has anyone owned one these? good and or bad things about them?
thanks guys

ps i love my viper so it would take a lot to get rid of it, but this is the only car that catches my eye in the same price range

Porsches are GREAT these days and well built but I would only lean towards the GT3. Very fast without the turbo and a great track car too.

Three people now talking about the GT3.
I thought it was the little brother to the GT2. Why wouldnt yall rather have that(if $$$ was no concern...):dunno:

The only thing i never liked about porsches is that to the average person they all look the same.
A $200K GT2-RS drives by and someone says "Nice Porsche". Then a 2003 $23K boxter drives by and someone says "Nice Porshe". (without realising that it is a 1/10th of a car than the previous one that just past.

I have owned many Porsche's including a 2005 Turbo cab. They make a nice car, that being said, the 05 TT needs suspension work, looks like an SUV, I went with PSS-10s, huge improvement
with no more "floaty" rear end feeling in high speed corners. Of all the P cars i have owned i think my favorite was a 400hp 79 Turbo, the suspension felt better than all the others, 84 cab, 94
Speedster, 97 TT, 05 TT. If I was going to go to a P car again I would go with the GT3 RS, they are now approaching 100k, for less than that I would go for the 02-05 GT2 or maybe a 07ish GT3.
I bet the GT2 would be a blast, kind of like the 79 I had, rear drive with lots of hp and no nanny stuff.

GT3 RS is well over $140k. New GT3 500hp is $185k+. Shows what a bargain our snakes are!

And neither of these cars are very streetable. They sit so low that they are impossible to drive on the road without damaging the front spoiler lips. Even though they may have the -optional- front end lifter, that many times isn't enough. The ride is bone jarring on anything but the smoothest of roads. As a weekend warrior or pure track car they are fine, worthless as a DD. No street legal GT3 makes 500hp, not even the new 4liter one without some work. 500hp is the domain of the 911tt and the GT2.

Viper GenIII and IV are way better and you can buy 2 or more for the cost of that P car. Viper is way more reliable too not to mention far easier to work on.
